4th Grade Math: Splash Math Worksheets App [HD Full] is a 4^th Grade Splash Math Worksheet app that offers 4^th grade (as you would expect) level math problems in 12 “chapters” (place value, number sense, algebra, multiplication, division, fractions, decimal, measurement, geometry, addition, and subtraction). Each chapter offers a variety of levels and the app tracks user performance allowing both student and parent (teacher, tutor…) to see progress and areas that need work. The app is very interactive and due to the diversity of app (drag items, rotate clock hands, pop bubbles) engages the kids quiet effectively.

What Julie Liked

It has multiple skill level (easy and hard), more than just addition/subtraction/multiplication/division, it includes algebra, place values, fractions, decimals, measurements, geometry and more!

Our 10 year old son said he also likes that you get to create your character, and he also liked that it offers multiple choice answers. Another feature he enjoys is the “scratch pad” that he can use to write out the problem to solve it.

I like that I can assign him homework and that it offers reports based on his performance in the app.

Suggested Enhancement

The one enhancement that our son suggested was that the player’s avatar offer more customization options and that it have some role in the app, for example allowing him to earn “points” for practice or homework that is done well… so users could “upgrade” it with other cool things (various other outfits, helmets, maybe a space ship, or pet…)

One area that I would like to see added is “time tests” for the addition/subtraction/multiplication and division areas.

The only drawback is the $9.99 price tag. It’s an amazing app, no question, but it would be hard for me to spend $9.99 on an app that is only for one grade level. At $4.99 I’d be all over it, and probably buy the new one each year, but for $9.99 I’d prefer to see where you could earn a code for the next grade level or something similar.

Overall

4th Grade Math: Splash Math Worksheets App [HD Full] is, without question; the most comprehensive math app we have ever used and really like how it is focused on the 4th grade level exclusively. The app is easy to use, and intuitive for both kids and parents. I would recommend this app to friends/family with kids (and in fact, already have).
