Agnitus is an interactive educational app for your toddler or pre-schooler’s developement. The app’s developers subscribe to the idea that children are naturally creative and that they learn through play, by seeing, touching, hearing, and doing. So they came up with different activities within the app like games, interactive environments, etc. to promote certain Early Childhood Developement (ECD) criteria: learn-explore-anticipate-memorize-spatial cognition-emotional developement.
Agnitus is a “smart” learning app which means that the levels of the different activities “smartly” advance as your child learns more. You, as a parent, do not need to adjust any settings to make it more difficult… The app does it for you with its unique, well-designed curriculum map.
When your children start playing, some advanced activities will not be available for them to play. As they explore the available activities, the levels in those same activties adjust as your child learns until they complete the curriculum. What’s nice is that the app also has a very detailed system to track your child’s progress as they learn while playing.
What iHeartThisApp Liked
There are lots of things to like about this app. First of all, the visuals are superb. The style and theme of the illustrations and the crisp animations will definitely entice and keep children hooked. These visuals are also supported well by good music, sound effects, and voice over.
The “smart” characteristic of this app really shows that the developers took the time to think about the design of the curriculum and how to execute it well. The result is a well-integrated “level-up” mechanic that progressess as the user does.
Its progress report section is particularly impressive. It keeps track of a lot of statistics such as a skills report which lays out, in a table, your child’s progress in terms of skills in identifying/familiarizing themselves with colors, food, shapes, etc. Within each item, you can also view a more detailed breakdown of statistics such as number of times played, number of correct answers, percentage of accuray, percentage of progress, etc. Aside from the skills report, it has an Activity report page which details your child’s achievements and how much time they spent on it. It also has a curriculum map which shows, visually, where your child is currently at in terms of the app’s curriculum and what their percentage of progress is. All of these information can also be emailed to the parents automatically by subscribing through email.
Best of all, this app is absolutely FREE. There are no ads or additional in-app purchases. Everything the developers made, you get to use for free. It’s amazing because I’m sure that this app outperforms a lot of other paid apps out there.
Agnitus is an interactive educational and activities app that will guide your toddlers and pre-schoolers with its well designed, Early Childhood Developement-based curriculum. Learning will definitely be equated to fun because of this app. And best of all, this app is absolutely free!
