Description

TGfU Games for Elementary/Primary PE is designed primarily for physical and health education teachers, but it is also highly recommended for animators, activity specialists, camp counselors, day-camp employees, and any other individuals or groups that work towards keeping children active from the grades of kindergarten to grade 6. With over 200+ games & activities and a database that is continually growing, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone!

As per the TGfU (Teaching Games for Understanding) approach, games and activities are divided into 4 categories: Invasion & Territorial, Net & Wall, Striking & Fielding, and Target. Pursuit & Evade is also included as an additional games category. The games and activities are sorted in their respective categories as well as being listed alphabetically and by recommended grade levels. Each game and activity describes the recommended grade levels, equipment, tactical problems, rules of play, safety, variations and progressions, and an appropriate diagram.

Whether or not you’re familiar with the TGfU curriculum model (explained within the application), the games and activities in this reference and education application will surely spark the interest of your group of children and students. TGfU Games PE provides physical activity and education for children and students to learn, enjoy, and have fun while exercising and keeping on the move – all simultaneously!
