Jazzy 123 – Music Education for Kids teaches children to count from one to ten while introducing different musical instruments to them. There is one learning and two mini game activities.

With the 123 activity kids tap on a number and they are shown that quantity of an instrument. A child’s voice announces the number and the instrument name. Tapping on each instrument the first time through counts the instruments. The kids can also tap the instruments to listen to its sounds.

Kids can learn their numbers and the name of the musical instruments in twelve languages.

There are two mini games. In the first, kids are shown a number of musical instruments and are given 3 answers to choose from. In the second, kids are asked to move a certain number of instruments to a stage.

There are social media and app store links.

What Elena Liked

The graphics were colorful and controls were very straight forward. I liked that the musical instruments to be counted were different each time you played. For example, it could be 1 accordion or 1 vibraphone. I absolutely loved that kids could learn numbers and names of different instruments in twelve languages. The kids enjoyed playing with the instruments and they loved taking their picture with the two kittens.

Suggested Enhancement

As soon as a picture is taken the options to tweet, send or save are available immediately. It would be better to just have access to save to the iPad. Also, I would wish that all social media links be removed.

Overall

Jazzy 123 – Music Education for Kids is a great app to teach kids to count from 1 to 10 while introducing them to musical instruments. Plus, kids can learn all this in twelve different languages.
