Radio Alarm Clock is a robust and feature-filled app that wakes you up using your MP3s, 50,000 radio stations, or your own recordings. It doesn’t stop there as it also helps you fall asleep at night with their soothing nature sounds. Radio Alarm Clock is a highly recommended app!

Radio Alarm clock by EnSight Media is a feature-packed up that not only helps you wake up with a smile in the morning, but it also helps you go to sleep at night.

There are 3 essential features of Radio Alarm Clock:
1.) Alarm Clock: you have the option to choose from 50,000 radio stations from around the world and set any one of those as your Alarm sound. Aside from these radio stations, you can also choose to use your iPod’s music library, other preset alarm sounds within the app, or you can record your own alarm sound!

2.) Radio: you can also use Radio Alarm Clock during the day if you like to listen to the 50,000 radio stations streaming within the app – they are categorized by genre so you can easily browse and choose your favorite stations.

3.) Help you sleep: you can also turn on the Sleep dial and it will play some soothing sounds (i.e. nature sounds such as Rain on Window, Signing of Seagulls, etc) or the Radio, or from your Music Library. Then you can just set it to automatically turn off after a certain period.

Aside from the really pretty and retro design, Radio Alarm Clock is one of the best 3rd party Alarm Clock I have ever used due to the tons of useful features that it has. I especially love the feature where you record your own music/sound and you can wake up to that sound. You can record your spouse’s or children’s voice telling you to wake up! There are also thousands of Radio stations that you can listen to not only as you wake up in the morning but in the middle of the day as long as you have an internet connection. The Sleep feature and the soothing nature sounds are also a nice addition to the app.

There are also lots of customizable settings that really show you the developers have paid attention to the details in creating this app. Some of these nice features/settings include ability to shake your device to turn off the alarm (this is great for sleepy heads!), support for multiple alarms, repeat alarms, sleep timer, brightness level (so as not to disturb your sleep), volume control, lots of help/hints to make sure you are using the app correctly, and more.

As with all Alarm Clock type of app, it needs to be running in the Background (and should not be terminated) for the alarm to go off. The app will always remind you of this as you set the alarms. If you’re using the Radio as your alarm, you don’t need to worry if you suddenly didn’t have an internet connection at the time your alarm is supposed to go off, the app will just choose a different alarm sound for you and just let you know that the radio wasn’t used because there was no internet connection. So you will still wake up on time!
