Sort It Out 1 is an interactive game app which teaches children with ages 3+ about sorting and arranging objects into categories. Your children will develop skills such as conceptualization, visual perception, and fine motor skills all while playing the addictive game of sorting and arranging.

Sort It Out 1 is an educational app that parents can use to teach their children about sorting and arranging. Learning is integrated with fun through a game where children pick out and arrange objects together.

The game has several different boards that consists of 24 items each. The items are scattered randomly at the bottom of the screen and children are tasked to pick out and sort the items according to the three categories available. For example: in the vehicles board, different vehicles can be categorized into land, sea, and air. Children must tap and drag each item into the appropriate area. Different boards have different themes and categories that children will definitely learn from. The simple activity of sorting and arranging in the game helps develop conceptualization, visual perception, and fine motor skills. Your young children will start to correlate the different visual representations of everyday things to prepare them for future learning.

This app to free to download and contains two unlocked boards with ten more that could be unlocked through in-app purchase. Sort it Out 1 is for children aged 3+ while the slightly more complex Sort It Out 2 is for children aged 4+.

Sort It Out 1 and 2 are Universal apps that are design for iPhones, iPod Touches, and iPads.

The app’s menu and layout is intuitive and the controls are easy to use. The artwork is cute and colorful which makes it very enticing for young children to play with. The game itself is simple but the educational value is high. Children learn to identify the visual representations of real world objects and learn to group them together based on certain characteristics. Playing this game will help prepare them or give them an edge in kindergarten.
